Shipping to Guyana from the UK with Waypoint

Waypoint ships barrels, boxes, pallets and personal effects from Southampton to Georgetown, Guyana. Whether you’re sending a Christmas barrel to family in Linden or New Amsterdam, supplies to Georgetown, or your household goods for a move home, you deal with one Southampton team from booking to arrival. Every sailing on this page shows its cargo closing date, so you know how long you have to pack.

How it works

  1. Pick a sailing below and check the price for your barrels or boxes.
  2. Book online, call us or message us on WhatsApp to secure your space.
  3. Pack and label your cargo, then get it to us before the closing date. We sell empty barrels and boxes if you need them.
  4. Track your shipment until it reaches Georgetown.

Collecting in Georgetown

Barrels are examined and assessed by the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) on arrival. The person collecting needs the shipping agent’s arrival notice and valid photo ID. Personal shipments worth up to US$500 can use GRA’s simplified declaration. We’ll let you know when the vessel is in.

Christmas barrels to Guyana

Guyana doesn’t run a Christmas barrel concession, so barrels are assessed the usual way all year round. December is our busiest month, so book early to get your barrel there for Christmas, and follow our WhatsApp updates for closing-date reminders.

Moving home for good? Under GRA’s re-migrant policy (updated February 2026), Guyanese aged 18 or over who have lived abroad continuously for at least five years can bring in reasonable personal and household effects and tools of trade duty-free. Apply in person to the Re-migration Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within six months of resettling. One vehicle can also come in at reduced duty within six months. Ask us about a container for a full move.

What can I send?

Most household goods, food, clothing and gifts travel well in barrels and boxes. For Christmas cut-offs, see our Christmas shipping guide. We also handle vehicle shipping and full containers to Guyana.
