Collecting in St George’s
Your cargo arrives at the port of St George’s and is cleared through Grenada Customs. We’ll let you know when the vessel has arrived and what the person collecting needs to bring. Keep your booking reference and any invoices for the contents to hand, as Customs may ask to see them. Sending to Carriacou or Petite Martinique? Ask us before you book.
Christmas barrels and duty-free concessions
Last season, the Government of Grenada’s duty-free barrel programme ran from 8 December 2025 to 6 January 2026. Each household could clear up to two barrels of personal effects, such as food, clothing, toiletries, cleaning supplies, bedding and small household appliances, free of import duty, taxes and the Customs Service Charge. Stamp duty and port charges were still payable. To claim, you needed government photo ID (passport, driver’s licence, voter’s card or NIS card) and a declaration form from your shipping agent. Ask us for the declaration when you book. The 2026 dates are usually announced in November or December, and we’ll post them on our WhatsApp updates as soon as they’re confirmed.
Moving home for good? Grenadian nationals who have lived abroad continuously for seven years can apply for a one-time concession on personal and household effects. Applications go to the Returning Nationals Facilitation Bureau at the Ministry of Finance, not Customs. Apply within three months of your return.
